I have been taking photographs since I was a child, when I used to practice using Dad's Kodak Box Brownie - without any film in it! Later I had my own Kodak Brownie 127 and in my teens I was given a German Mastra V35 compact, and a Weston light meter to go with it. I didn't get my first Canon SLR until I was in my early twenties. This was a curious hybrid camera - a Canon EXEE - with interchangeable front lens elements which screwed onto the fixed prime element. Various SLRs followed, including EOS 300 and T50 before I switched to Digital in 2007 with a Canon EOS 400D. A 60D followed, then a 7DMk2 before I made the big switch to Sony in 2020 with an A9Mk2, followed in 2024 with the A9Mk3 which I use today, backed up with an A6700 APSC as a second body.
